Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Stagefront platform, website, and all associated tools and services. By accessing or using Stagefront you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. About Stagefront
Stagefront is a browser-native live performance platform that allows independent artists to create and manage immersive 3D venues, schedule and broadcast live shows, manage music playlists, generate AI-powered 3D props, build custom avatars, create AI NPC characters, and connect with fans — all without requiring any app download.
Stagefront venues are powered by Portals technology (prtls.gitbook.io). By using Stagefront, you may also be subject to Portals' terms of use when interacting with Portals-powered spaces.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Stagefront. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the platform. By creating an account or submitting an application, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Accounts
Artist Accounts
Artist accounts are created through an application and approval process. Access to the artist dashboard — including the Venue Builder, Playlist Manager, 3D Prop Studio, Avatar Studio, AI Presence tools, Show Scheduler, and Analytics — is granted only to approved artists. We reserve the right to reject or revoke artist applications at our discretion.
Fan Accounts
Fan accounts are created via a magic-link email login — no password is required. Fan accounts allow you to RSVP to shows, follow artists, and receive show reminder emails. Basic show attendance (entering a Portals venue) does not require an account.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your login links. Stagefront uses email-based magic links — each link is single-use and expires after 10 minutes. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
4. Artist Responsibilities
As an artist on Stagefront, you agree to:
-
Only perform and broadcast content you own or have the legal right to use, including music, visuals, and any third-party material.
-
Comply with all applicable copyright laws, including obtaining synchronization and performance licenses for any third-party music.
-
Not use the platform to broadcast illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
-
Not impersonate other artists, individuals, or entities.
-
Ensure that any AI NPC prompts, 3D props, or content you generate complies with these terms.
-
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform's infrastructure or AI generation services.
5. Fan Conduct
When attending shows or interacting with Stagefront venues, fans agree to:
-
Behave respectfully toward artists and other attendees.
-
Not attempt to disrupt, manipulate, or interfere with a live performance.
-
Not record, distribute, or re-stream show content without the artist's explicit written permission.
-
Not exploit AI NPC characters to extract harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content.
6. AI-Generated Content
Stagefront offers AI-powered tools including the 3D Prop Studio (powered by Hunyuan3D-3.1 via Replicate) and the AI Presence NPC builder (generating GPT prompts for use in Portals). By using these tools:
-
You are responsible for the content you input into AI generation tools, including image uploads and text prompts.
-
You may not use AI tools to generate content that violates applicable law, infringes third-party intellectual property, or is harmful, obscene, or discriminatory.
-
AI-generated 3D assets and NPC prompts are generated for your personal use within your Stagefront venue. You may not resell or redistribute them outside the platform without our written permission.
-
Stagefront does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated output.
-
3D prop generation incurs compute costs (approximately $0.12–0.20 per generation via Replicate). These costs are subject to change based on third-party pricing.
7. Intellectual Property
Your content. You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or generate through Stagefront — including your music, visuals, avatars, 3D props, and NPC prompts. By submitting content to the platform, you grant Stagefront a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to operate the platform and deliver it to your intended audience.
Our content. The Stagefront platform, branding, design, codebase, and all proprietary tools are owned by Stagefront. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or redistribute our platform or its components without written permission.
Third-party content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you use in your shows — including music, visuals, and samples — is properly licensed. Stagefront does not monitor or moderate live performances for copyright compliance.
8. Third-Party Services
Stagefront integrates with third-party services including:
-
Portals — for 3D venue rooms. Your use of Portals rooms is also subject to Portals' terms of use.
-
Replicate / Hunyuan3D — for AI 3D prop generation. Generation costs are passed through from Replicate's API pricing.
-
Stripe — for future artist revenue and payment processing. Payment terms and fees are governed by Stripe's terms of service.
Stagefront is not responsible for the availability, performance, or terms of these third-party services.
9. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Stagefront to:
-
Violate any local, national, or international law or regulation.
-
Transmit unsolicited communications, spam, or promotional content without consent.
-
Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code.
-
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, other accounts, or connected systems.
-
Use automated bots or scrapers to collect data from the platform.
-
Circumvent capacity limits, RSVP systems, or access controls.
-
Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
10. Disclaimers
Stagefront is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
We are currently in early access. Platform features, availability, and pricing may change without notice. We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity resulting from platform downtime, changes in features, or service interruptions.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stagefront and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: lost revenue, lost data, performance failures, third-party service outages, or AI-generated content quality issues. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these terms shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to Stagefront (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, or for any reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your access to the artist dashboard, your venues, and your stored assets will be revoked.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Requests for data deletion will be honored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stagefront operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
